NIX kite is one of first kiteboarding schools on the island of Curaçao. We love teaching this exhilarating sport and enjoy the “stoke” our students get. NIX Kite surfing Curacao is Kitesurfing School with skilled instructors, this means that our instructors have years of Kiteboarding experience. Besides that we speak multiple languages; English, Español, Nederlands, Papiamentu.

The kite spot – St Joris Bay

Our home spot is located at St Joris Baai. This beautiful semi-secluded bay lies on the north-east shore of Curacao. The bay is surrounded by mangroves and different kinds of salt water resistant vegetation. The waters are warm, 78 degrees and up, and are suitable for for all kinds of riding. From super flat glassy waters to big chop, just ask our instructors and we will tell you where to go.

How to get there

Finding the kitespot is not hard since you will need to drive on main roads to get there. If you’re driving from the Jan Thiel Area or Willemstad area please follow the signs to the Ostrich Farm. When you get to the ostrich farm the road turns into an unpaved road. You will need to follow that road and drive all the way towards the water. When you arrive at the bay you will see the kitesurfing school to your left.

No car? No problem! We can pick you up. Just let us know when you’re making your reservation and we will arrange transportation depending on the lessons schedules.

Best time to go Kitesurfing in Curacao

Usually we recommend our students to book between December and August since our trade winds are the most steady around these months. For kitesurfing in general on the island of Curacao we can say this: With the future development of the sport it does not really matter anymore when you want to go out.

Rental Equipment

NIX Kite Curaçao is currently working with kitesurfing brand. We are constantly testing kites to find out what kite works best for our students and rentals. You can rent a whole set or the equipment needed separately. Go to the rates page to find out more.
